The Chase

He paused, knelt down, and touched the ground softly. He lifted his
head and sniffed the cold air.

"It's been through here."

His companion said, "Uh, no kidding. Why don't we follow the bloody
footprints? There in the snow? Nimrod."

They did. It didn't end well for any of them.
